Our Story
A passion for floral art, birthed in the Macedon Ranges
Brooke started in floristry as a young teenager, growing up within a family of keen gardeners and flower lovers. She began her career in floristry in a Macedon Ranges country florist shop when an arrangement of flowers was a triangular affair, and a bouquet was generally a small round bunch.
Jump forward to Scent Florist, Brooke's own studio, where amazing creations are created everyday. From stunning pods and branches covered in moss or lichens, to rare and exotic flowers, Brooke has a very evident pride in her work and brings an array of creativity and passion to every arrangement. The breath-taking pieces of art take shape with her wonderfully fertile imagination and an insatiable need to explore what can be made by combining materials which ‘speak’ to her.
To this day she shares that love of flowers with her Nan, in particular, discussing what is in season, what is new in the commercial world, and all things relating to the beauty of what grows around us.

When you have a passion for your craft, you want to work with like-minded people. Brooke is always on the lookout for suppliers who are as crazy about their ‘thing’ as she is. Any florist can call up a wholesaler and have access to the same products as any other florist. Ho-hum... how boring!

Hi, I’m Brooke, the chief in charge of all your flower designs. I’ve been a florist for over 24 years and I truly love my job. I believe in supporting local businesses, local farmers and produce, and I'm a passionate advocate for women in business.
